You survived Thanksgiving, but now the holidays are right around the corner. While entertaining your guests, was everything easy to get to and well organized? If not, think about different solutions to make your space work, without having to go through a full kitchen, guest bathroom, or linen closet remodel. It’s important to think about what will make your space easier to work with… will pull out shelves or drawers make it easier to get items in the back of the cabinets? Through my experience, I have found that base cabinets with drawers make storing pots, pans and the lids that accompany them so much easier. The second way to make your life easier is to add pull down units. The mounting may take up some of the available area of the cabinet, but it is more cost effective than a new kitchen.

A clean, well-designed kitchen with a mix of light brown and red-brown cabinets. A red-brown cabinet built into the kitchen island is open, revealing a pull-out drawer with neatly arranged pans and lids. An orange enamel pot sits on an electric stovetop on the island.

There are also pull outs designed for your trash cans as well as your standing mixer.

In the linen closet, you can add pull out drawers so that you can easily fold the towels, pillow cases, fixed and flat sheets as well as duvets and the covers that go with them. Fitting them into a nice neat order making your mom proud of you and your organization skills. If you really want to blow some minds add brass labels identifying what each drawer has in it.

Remember storage needs are solved by a little vision of seeing what is not there and the ability of executing it. We here at FRED can help on both of these.
